I’m Grateful for Nature
I’ve been living in Vancouver, BC for the past 6 years, and am incredibly grateful for having a city like it. But I’ve only checked out a handful of the available hiking destinations in the province—until this year.
Looking to the North, Vancouver’s skyline is set against a pretty impressive backdrop of massive mountains—a constant reminder that the natural landscape was here before us. After living here for so long, I decided this year to really try and explore some natural spots. While Vancouver doesn’t get the ‘concrete jungle’ feeling of some other cities, I still felt like I was missing out on the area around it. I also love any excuse to go out with my camera.
I was lucky to find a few people that shared the same passion for photography and exploring new places, and have been going on these adventures for the past few months now. Every time I head out to somewhere new in the wilderness of BC, it’s an incredible experience just to be immersed in nature for a little while. It really helps clear my mind and gives me a little perspective on the world outside the city. I’m definitely looking forward to next month when I can explore more places in the fall.
