What healthy means to me

For me, “healthy” is about being able to make decisions for me instead of making decisions as a reaction to anxiety or urges or what I think others think or whatever contextual pressure is at work in a situation, external or internal.

So being empowered to make decisions that contribute to long-term happiness is about having tools and skills that empower us to make healthy decisions when our brains are telling us to do something we know isn’t going to take us where we want to go, and it’s about having systems and structures in place to make consequential decisions for long-term happiness within whatever environmental and social context we find ourselves.
